1.AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR RENTER AND DRIVER: The minimum age limit for credit card holders is 21 years of age and for non card holders 23. For car groups D-Z and for Top Car Club (T.C.C.) vehicles the minimum age limit is 25 years old.
2. DRIVING LICENCE: The driver should hold a valid license issued during the previous year minimum additionally, for Top Car Club (T.C.C.) vehicles the driver should hold a valid license issued during 2 years minimum.
3. DEPOSIT:
a) For groups A,B,C,O,M the estimated cost of rental with a minimum limit of €150,00 per day is required following written approval by the company. Holders of credit cards accepted by EUROPCAR are exempted from this deposit.
b) All other groups cannot be rented on a cash basis.
4. MINIMUM RENTAL DURATION: One day (24 hours).
5. INSURANCE: Rental rates include the following forms of coverage:
a) death or bodily harm to third parties and passengers in the rented car except driver up to €500.000,00 per accident,
b) material damage to third parties (excluding EUROPCAR vehicles) up to €100.000,00,
c) the rented car against fire,
d) damage to the rented car (the customer is liable for the purchase price of the vehicle at the time of accident less 20%),
e) theft of the car (the customer is liable for 50% of the purchase price of the car at the time of theft).
For groups X & R, damages on the top of the car are not covered by the insurance.
6. COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW-LWS): The renter's liability as per paragraph 5d/ will be reduced to €550,00 only if he accepts to pay an additional charge of €13,50 for each day of rental for groups A,B,C,M, to €700,00 if he agrees to pay a charge of €16,50 for each day of rental for groups D,G,I,H,F,E,N,T, to €700,00 if he agrees to pay an additional charge of €20,00 for each day of rental for groups L,S,K,P,U,J,Z,and to €1.300,00 for groups Y,Y3,X,Q.
Regardless of whether C.D.W. has been accepted or not, the renter may reduce further the participation exemption if the amounts paid to accept the partial coverage Security exemption amount (LWS) (Liability Waiver Surcharge) for each day with the additional amount of 8.00 euros for categories A, B, C, M reduced to 60 euros, 9.00 euros for category D, G, H, F, E, N, W, T, I, L, S, K, P, U, J, Z, reducing to 150 euros and 20 euros for categories Y3, X, M2 reducing to 300 euros.
Regardless of whether the customer has agreed to cover non-insured funds (CDW-LWS), is required to fully repair the damage that can cause the bottom of the car wheels and tires, and if the damage caused by violation of the Traffic Code.
7. THEFT WAIVER (TW): Theft waiver is an optional service which, if accepted, releases the renter from all financial liability as per paragraph 5e/ for loss or for damage to the EUROPCAR vehicle from theft or as a result there of. Theft Waiver can be obtained for a daily charge of €5,50 + VAT for groups A,B,C,M ,€8,80 + VAT for the groups D,G,H,F,E,N,T,I, L,S,K,P,U,J,Z and €12,00 for groups Y3,X,M2,Q.
8. DRIVER PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI): This is available for €5,00 + VAT per day and covers the driver for death, permanent total or partial disability by traffic accident for up to €17.608,22 and medical expenses for up to €1.760,82.
9. INCIDENT ADMINISTRATION FEE: In case of an accident due to renters liability, renter has the obligation to pay a non refundable fee of €15,00 + VAT to cover administration expenses.
10. ADDITIONAL DRIVER CHARGE: €3,00 + VAT per day.
11. GASOLINE: Payable by the renter. Refuelling charge: €7,00.+ VAT
12. ROOF RACK: Available upon request. Charge: €6,00 + VAT per day, with maximum charge of 10 days.
13. BABY SEAT: Available upon request for children up to 3 years old. Charge €4,00 + VAT per day, with maximum charge of 10 days.
14. NAVIGATOR: Available upon request. Charge: €7,00 + VAT per day
15. WHEEL CHAINS: Available upon request. Charge: €5,00 per day, with maximum charge of 10 days.
16. TYPES OF CAR: The Company reserves the right to change the type of car with another type with the same cc.
17. DELIVERY OR COLLECTION:
a) At all EUROPCAR stations: free of charge,
b) Away from our offices: €15,00 + VAT charge (within the city limits),
c) Elsewhere: €0.50 +VAT per km for all groups (minimum charge €15,00+ VAT ),
d) Charge for delivery or collection outside office hours (21:00 - 07:30): €30,00.+ VAT
18. NATIONAL ONE - WAY RENTALS: Mainland Greece and Islands: the renter is charged €0.50+ VAT per km regardless of car group or destination.
19. TAXES: 19% V.A.T. for all EUROPCAR stations (apart from Rhodes, Kos, Lesbos, Santorini, Hios, Thassos, Samos, Skiathos, Karpathos, Mykonos, Paros, Limnos and Naxos: 13% V.A.T.) and 2% municipal tax (where applicable). VAT is not included to the above prices.
20. AIRPORT SERVICE CHARGE (ASC): 13% for the A.I.A. ("El. Venizelos") and 6% for other airports in Greece.
21. HIGHWAY CODE VIOLATIONS: All fines and consequences of administrative sanctions shall be incurred by the renter.
22. ACROSS THE BORDER RENTAL: Not allowed.
23. FERRYING THE CAR: Only allowed with the company's written authorization.
24. ROAD ASSISTANCE: ELPA - 24 hours a day (Tel.: 10400).
25.TERMS AND RATES: Subject to change without prior notice. Rates in force on commencement of rental will apply as approved by the Greek National Tourist Organization (E.O.T.).
